Has there been any announcements on the pricing for the Xbox? I am looking at getting all new, TV/Internet etc contracts. So the T-Box, Xbox, Foxtel etc are all being considered amongst others like ISP, Internet Tv (FetchTV, Boxee Box, Sony Internet TV) blu ray players etc.

For interest sakes Victor, where you surprised when the deal you signed up for wasn't in HD or do you feel that Foxtel had explained well enough that the $50 plan was SD? If you don't mind me asking, what was the cost difference to go to HD?

We signed up for the $50 sports deal recently (initially in SD with the iQHD), but when we got Foxtel HD on Tuesday, it was nothing but brilliant! All sport presented in glorious HD (even in primetime) and I am not looking back. Love my Foxtel and will not cancel my subscription at all.

I don't believe that their is HD as such on the T-box.

Will the Fox Footy Channel be in SD or HD on the Telstra T-Box? Cause if there is an option for HD on the T-Box then i will most certainty be getting a T-Box and not Foxtel!!

I do understand that point of view, as said before, think they are setting up for many customers to be disappointed. Of course, I could be totally wrong. Would be interested if on signup, it is pointed out to customers that the $50 deal is for the Standard Package not HD? I know the add for it makes no mention.

HD is so much better than SD, but that is just me.
What Fox are saying is that if you already have Foxtel HD, you will not pay an extra fee to have Fox Footy. Yes, you have to pay extra to get the HD box, but isn't that obvious.

Hi Adam,
Absolutely. The question is what the cost will be of this. Telstra are still deciding on it. I find it hard to believe it won't either increase the current cost or add an additional cost. The good thing about the T-box is there is no lock in too it. You can decide at anytime to cut it off at no additional charge.

Eddie is castor oil for remedying an overdose of Dwayne Russell. In other words, since Clinton Bygrass passed away overuse of the poor-man's Dennis Cometti has had me going for the mute button. When I can I turn onto ABC Radio ... much better than listening to the repetitious Russell and his over use of stats from a computer monitor in the guise of being a wizz of footy facts. And if he says 'party-time' a thousand times more describing a one-sided game I'll scream. No I won't because this is one little black duck to whom I will not be lending my little pinkies ... ever!

I have the basic and sport for $50 a month (standard IQ), and think it is great. $50 a month for every afl game live. SD is still great quality, and sure HD would be nice, but it aint worth $20 a month. Just get the SD and enjoy every game live on fox.

Anyone can see that Port Adelaide have fried their experienced players in 2011. Reasoning we can see: to keep up with GWS AND SUNS. A lot of other teams have older players to lose over the next 2-3 years, and these 3 teams will be knocking on a flag sooner than one thinks. Feel for the experienced players not getting a game. Can't blame them if they go for the draft, hope they do well, after having a year of solid training for NO GAIN

Couple of comments. Hawthorn, in many ways, have know right to think we can beat the Cats come September with their list and the losing steak in H&A season games we have against them, but do you think that the Cats would be hoping the Hawks finish 4th with the record we have over Geelong in the Finals?

I am seriously thinking of sitting down and watching the Derby over this week. Maybe even just the last quarter!

Thanks for the comment Molly. You're right - I could run this exercise myself 10 times and finish up with 10 different results! But, I'm happy with the outcome of feel that most picks make sense (at least in my little world). On your points:

Tigers: Harry Taylor was a very good call by you here - I keep forgetting he is not very old at all. But, it's hard to go past the midfield silk of Scott Pendlebury at the selection. Agree that Scarlett is far too old for consideration in this process.
Suns: I considered a "big" player, but they have Dixon and Lynch (and Gorringe?) down there who are developing quite well. Hence the pick of an established star, in Hodge.
Demons: If Travis Cloke was on the board here, I'd agree with you - he may have been a better selection.
Sydney: I'm not the biggest fan of Hurley, but I would admit he is going to be a player. I'm happy with his going to Sydney - valuable player.
Hawks: Hmm, I think ruck is a weakness down there at Hawthorn, but I don't see Renouf or Bailey close up like you do. You can't tell me you wouldn't want to see Nic Nat put the ball down Sam Mitchell's throat week in, week out!

Interesting exercise and as was commented to me on my Google Plus sharing of this, you could ask 100 people and 100 different answers. A couple of differences I would consider:
Tigers: I would be looking for a key back not another midfielder if I had choice of anyone. Harry Taylor or Ben Reid type. Scarlett bit old for the medium/Long term needs.
Suns: As much as you would love Hodge and versitility, need a big forward. Cloke, Daws or maybe Roughead be a better mix in my Opinion
Demons: Again, have midfielders out the ears. See Suns for Tall Forward option. Grillor types that can gang and crash and allow Watts and co to do the pretty stuff.
Sydney: Again agree with commenter on G+. Hibberd aiming a bit low! Key Forward or CHF would be handy. Maybe Kennedy or Darling
Hawks: Assuming everyone on the park, I think great need then ruck or Backman is small forward. With the want (if his body is right) to play Cyril in the guts, need a quick, hardworking small forward. Maybe Lewis Jetta of the Swans (assuming 2 Blues were already taken and couldn't get Garlett). Would even be tempted to trade back Josh Kennedy of the Swans!

Knew he wouldn't get two weeks. Said that he should though, not that he would. For a leader of an AFL club, what he did was pretty stupid. Should have more sense than that.

Haven't seen it yet, but for my DreamTeam I hope he avoids a suspension. I support the idea of not enough impact though. I once suggested Micro-points. What I mean is getting like 10 or 20 points for doing something dumb that isn't enough reportable. On its own, not a huge issue but can add up!

Goddard won't get two weeks for his knee to O'Shea. Although intentional conduct (three points) and high contact (three points) the impact was not near sufficient to warrant any MRP action.
